The
author is pictured in October 2003 at a reception at the Governor's
mansion in Harrisburg, PA, marking the 30th anniversary celebration
of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council which selects Commonwealth
Speakers who conduct presentations for non-profit civic
organizations throughout the State.
Beginning with the 2006 fall semester, Susan Vogt was a facilitator
for a Continuing Ed course at Elizabethtown College where she taught a
course on "Preserving Family Stories and Local History."

Author-historian Susan Vogt is available as a speaker in the
region of south central Pennsylvania. Ms. Vogt speaks at public events
on the subjects she covers in her books including her latest volume,
"The World War II Years (of Pennsylvania's Heartlands)" and where she is

Years (of Pennsylvania's Heartlands) to a large Seniors group,
Charlton U.M. Church at Paxtonia (near Linglestown/Paxtonia exit
I-81).
2005:
- Thurs., September 15,
7-8 p.m. -- PCN's "LIVE Call In Program," televised from
headquarters in Camp Hill and via fiber from Pennsylvania Cable
Network's Philadelphia Bureau, with author Susan Wert Vogt on
"The World War II Years."

Vogt was chosen for the interview
because her book features stories from central Pennsylvanians
who recalled accounts on both the home front and battle fronts
during the war.

Two speaking engagements to veterans on "WWII Years" by Vogt at
Abington Library (eastern PA near Phila.); also speaking to
nearby Springfield School youth around noon that day.
